Every minute, the equivalent of one garbage truck full of plastic and other chemicals enters the ocean.
If we keep continuing this trend, by 2050, there could be more trash than fish by weight in our seas. Plastic & chemicals pollution is choking our oceans, entangling marine life, infiltrating food chains, and devastating the coastal area. It’s found in the deepest ocean trenches and in the stomachs of whales, seabirds, and can even affect newborn human babies.
Our 2030 goals:
✅ Develop a free, easy-to-use mobile app that allows users to report plastic dumping and pollution.
✅ Partner with influencers and schools to recruit minimum 1 million citizen reporters.
✅ Add live violation heatmaps and response tracking to boost transparency.
✅ Aggregate all data on violations, cleanups, product recovery, and law enforcement.
✅ Advocate for a binding UN treaty with enforcement protocols and marine litter tracking standards.
✅ Launch a global Ocean Plastics Dashboard for real-time monitoring of litter sources and movements.
✅ Enforce zero-plastic mandates in marine protected areas, island tourism zones, and major ports.
✅ Launch a Plastic-Free Coastal Certification Program with annual audits.
✅ Support the launch of a Global Circularity Accelerator Fund for startups innovating in plastic/textile reuse.
✅ Require brands to report and publish annual material recovery rates.
✅ Connect producers, communities, and schools to bulk-buy ocean-safe materials.
✅ Include traceability info showing where the recycled material came from.
✅ Implement a Global Plastic Passport System for full lifecycle monitoring.
