Restore Blue Habitats

Record-high ocean temperatures have triggered a fourth global coral bleaching event. Rising ocean temperatures are raising new concerns for coral reefs, which support a quarter of marine species, provide resources for hundreds of millions of people in coastal communities and generate trillions of dollars in revenue annually. Combining the conservation efforts with data and AI to create open ocean health dashboard to protect marine habitats that can withstand and recover from thermal stress is our plan for the next generation.

Sustainable Fisheries

The sustainability of global fishery resources declined dramatically over the years, due to overfishing, pollution, poor management and other factors. Overfishing can harm biodiversity, ecosystems and fisheries production, and imposes adverse social and economic costs. Effective fisheries management, marine protected areas can possibly reverse these effects and lead to optimal stock levels while supporting global food security and coastal communities. SaveOCEAN supports with digital tools for small fisheries, traceability and bycatch reduction.

Oil and chemical spills

Among the ocean threats, petroleum products spills stand out as particularly devastating events with far-reaching environmental and economic consequences. The release of crude oil or refined petroleum products into the marine environment can cause immediate and long-term harm to a wide range of marine life, from microscopic plankton to large marine mammals and seabirds.  Environmental damage can persist for decades, impacting biodiversity and the productivity of marine resources. Creating transparency with evidence based solutions to stop all marine pollutants is our 2030 plan.

Prevent Plastic Pollution

By 2050, our seas could hold more plastic and other types of trash than fish if we don’t act now. Our 2030 plan outlines bold, coordinated actions combining citizen science with real time monitoring and AI. An unique platform build to stop the plastic pollution for good advocating for global standards and accountability across all stakeholders.
