At SaveOCEAN we are Confronting the Four Greatest Threats to Our Ocean’s Future through learning, digital platforms and engagement.
Our strategy is built around the “Next Generation Leadership” initiative, transparent data and the integration of AI.
Programs
Next Generation Leadership Summit
We are launching the “Next Generation Leadership: Driving SDG 14 Impact with AI and ESG” summit (scheduled for January 20, 2026).
- Key Focus: Using AI-powered tools for real-time monitoring and reporting to satisfy ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) requirements for corporate and international partners.
- Target Audience: Engaging “Next Gen” leaders, including startup founders, early-career professionals, and ESG investors.

Technology and AI Integration
Our strategy is moving away from “grey boxes” (passive data collection) to “blue hearts” (proactive, AI-driven insights).
Open Science: “Community Science” model, where data from local fishers and citizens is fed into AI models to track biodiversity and illegal fishing.
Integrated Monitoring: Moving from fragmented data to a unified “Ocean Health Dashboard.”
AI for Real-Time Action: Using AI to predict and mitigate risks such as oil spills, chemical pollution, and plastic accumulation.
Scaling restoration & Pollution Control
Our strategy is to bridge between pilot testing and full global implementation:
Active Restoration: Transitioning from “pilot testing” in 2025 to “active restoration” in 2026. This includes scaling seagrass and coral reef projects.
Litter-Free Sea: Implementing integrated “source-to-sea” monitoring to stop plastic pollution before it enters the deep ocean.
Global Policy & Strategic Partnerships
Moving toward full-scale deployment following the Third UN Ocean Conference (UNOC3) framework.
Strategic Initiative: “10,000 Ships for the Ocean”
This initiative has successfully moved from concept to onboarding commercial fleets. These ships act as “ocean eyes,” providing real-time data on ocean acidification and plastic density, filling critical gaps in global monitoring.
